Phenibut And Kratom

Phenibut And Kratom

Kratom is a craze that’s getting bigger. As people get used to it and experiment with it, they look to find other things they can take alongside it, both to produce new effects, and enhance their experience. Using Phenibut and kratom is one of these things people have been advocating doing.

On the one hand, you are being told you can be completely chilled, almost in a dream world. It’s like the ultimate relaxation, calmness and a mood-boosting experience.

On the other hand, people are suggesting it could be detrimental to long-term mental health, and even incredibly dangerous.

So let’s take a look at the truth about the interaction between Phenibut and kratom, and see if it’s something that could be beneficial, or a combination you just want to steer well away from.

What Is Phenibut?

Phenibut is a prescription drug that mimics a chemical in the brain that most people who have heard of it, known as GABA. It was first formulated in the Soviet Union, as far back as the 1960s.

Nowadays, is used to help with mental health issues. It can help with improving sleep, by improving the pattern of sleep, and it can also help to deal with things like stress and anxiety.

Sometimes it’s also prescribed to help with other things, such as alcoholism, and even problems like stuttering. The thing is though, although it’s prescribed in some parts of the world, it’s not actually approved as a medicine in the USA, so is no real large amount of testing going on.

At its most basic level, to describe its effects, it is a nervous system depressant. It attaches to the GABA receptors in the brain. It is an agonist of these receptors and operates by producing similar chemical responses in the brain as things like benzodiazepines.

It has a tranquilizing element to it, it reduces anxiety, plus it can also have nootropic effects.

Also, fortunately, or unfortunately, depending on your position here, it seems to enhance the effects of narcotics and can induce higher euphoria, because it can increase dopamine levels.

How Do Phenibut & Kratom Feel Together?

A dose of Phenibut, around 1000 mg, will help you to feel restful. It can make you feel sleepy and can regulate sleep.

You’ll also feel a sense of calm, a real deep calm like you can’t feel natural. This can really help with anxiety and rest the mind.

On top of this you will get a general sense of wellbeing, and at the 2000 mg level, this can move into alertness and euphoria. You can also improve cognitive processes for a short period of time.

You’ll feel better memory retention, more motivation, and restful. But as the dose gets higher, you’re more likely to slip into sleep.

Now that’s all sounding familiar, if you know about kratom, then that’s because that’s almost exactly the same sort of things you will feel on kratom.

Now it is slightly different with kratom because white kratom tends to be more uplifting and nootropic, while red kratom tends to bring on the sedation and peacefulness that we’ve just covered as more of a major effect of Phenibut.

Because of the similarities, you will be increasing the effects if you mix Phenibut with kratom. On top of that, the effects will last much longer, hours longer. There is little doubt that Phenibut can enhance the longevity and intensity of narcotic effects.

As kratom interacts with the opioid transmitters in the body, in the same way as opiates, it’s little surprise it does this with kratom as well.

Generally, when you mix Phenibut with kratom, you get the following effects:

  • Euphoria stimulation
  • Feeling of wellbeing
  • Analgesia
  • Relaxation
  • Enhanced cognitive processes
  • Sedation

Now as we’ve already explained, at the lower end of the scale, and especially if you mix white vein kratom, you’ll get that uplifting effect, that beating of anxiety, the energy, the enhanced cognitive processes.

But as you move into higher doses of Phenibut and kratom, especially if it’s red kratom, the feeling of analgesia, relaxation, and sedation can become absolutely overwhelming.

So on the positive side, if you like the feeling of kratom or the feeling of Phenibut, then put together you’re going to have an incredible experience. It’s going to feel amazing, it’s going to enhance everything you love about both, especially if you’re into kratom.

That’s not the whole story though, so let’s look at the other side of that coin.

The Side Effects Of Phenibut & Kratom

mixing kratom with phenibutThe problems are side effects using Phenibut and kratom tend to kick in at higher doses.

In terms of Phenibut alone, 2500 mg of it will see you go into an extremely spaced out, sedated state. It could induce a deep sleep.

It’s the same with kratom. A good quality kratom, especially a red kratom, at a dose above an approximate 8 g, can also induce the same feelings.

So put those two things together, and you are looking at potentially serious problems. Not only will you face extreme sedation, but you could induce vomiting. As I’m sure you can work out, the combination of being out of it and vomiting are not particularly safe.

Which means while combining the two can get you to the next level in terms of a euphoric, spaced out, sedated state, the higher the dose, the more risk there is of you choking to death on vomit, or literally slipping into a coma. I’m not joking about this, this is a real possibility, it’s serious stuff.

Now that doesn’t mean if you take a lower dose you’re safe either. It depends on who you are, and the type of kratom you are mixing with Phenibut.

Unless you take very little, there are going to be potential side effects and consequences. Not only could you make a mistake and end up in real trouble, but the more you use them, the more dependence will grow, which will lead to needing a higher dose.

It doesn’t take a genius to work out that if you are creeping up the dosage, you are heading towards coma eventually.

And obviously, tolerance could lead to dependence. So even if you don’t get into serious, life-threatening trouble, over time, it could start to take over your life, just like narcotics.

Is Taking Phenibut With Kratom Dangerous?

I think we’ve already covered that question really. Taking Phenibut with kratom could feel fantastic, and you never have a problem, but the more you do it, the more you push those boundaries, the more you take, the more risk you are taking.

And it’s not just me saying this. Just go and look on places like Reddit. People who have seriously done this combo report side-effects like memory retention issues, nausea, dizziness.

Some who been doing it a long term or even now starting to pin the blame on it for an increasing delusional state, and even psychosis that has led to them being medically intervened with.

I know, people are risk takers and there’s a chance it won’t happen, an incredibly good chance. But you have to factor in that 10% chance that something will go horribly wrong.

They may feel great, but Phenibut and kratom in combination could be addictive, affect your long-term mental health, and even prove fatal.

I love kratom, but I’m not willing to take that amount of risk just to make it feel a bit better for a few hours.

gabapetin and kratom

Using Gabapentin With Kratom Instead

Gabapentin is a drug that is used for the relieving of the symptoms of opiate withdrawal. It’s incredibly good at relieving pain, it’s a strong analgesic.

Its main action is to increase the synthesis of the GABA neurotransmitter, which generally can help to alleviate the symptoms of opiate withdrawal.

But it’s not FDA approved, and although it’s widely used, it’s not actually been well studied.

Because it can potentiate kratom, it’s being used by some people in the same way as Phenibut. In fact, because it’s a more mild drug, people are seeing it as a safer version of achieving the same thing, to basically get a much bigger kratom kick.

But there are several problems with this. For a start, Gabapentin has actually been linked to increasing the likelihood of certain motor function disorders, notably epilepsy and migraines. That’s obviously something to be very wary of.

Again, you could feel great. The combination of the two will bring and enhance productivity, a feeling of calm, wellbeing, relieving of anxiety, and a massive relieving physical pain.

However, at higher doses, you have the same problem. Gabapentin can induce incredibly deep sleep, and as it potentiates kratom, which can have the same effect at high dose, you could really put yourself in trouble, even in a coma.

So for me, the threat of getting epilepsy and maybe dying in a coma would make using Gabapentin and kratom together a pretty risky thing to even consider.

The bottom line for me is that kratom feels amazing, and as long as you buy good quality kratom powder from a reputable supplier, the feelings it will give you should be plenty strong enough.

Before you go leaping for medicines to potentiate kratom, perhaps you should first look at the quality of the kratom you are taking the first place?
