Get Attention Programs

All parents of students enrolled in our programs are welcomed to use the Stress Free ADHD Parenting Course and library: free of charge. You may also request a partial session of any and all programs to promote the understanding of program that your child is enrolled in. You may  schedule light and sound sessions at a discount while your child is in treatment. No child can be in our center without direct supervision of their parent unless they are with a coach. If there are students in the main part of the center, noise is to be kept at a minimum.  
Our students are easily distracted.

  Please let us know immediately if someone in your family is sensitive to the high frequencies of Mozart music or any other music being played in the center. We do realize that auditory sensitivities can be a co-existing symptom running with attentional difficulties.

All clients start with testing. Testing may include an IVA CPT, a neurofeedback session, and/or a Brain Builder Session. All three of these tool document and test different skills for optimum performance. Treatment goals will be discussed during this time. After testing reports are discussed, contracts will be made and priced.

All fees are payable as services are scheduled. Nothing will be scheduled without prepayment-no exceptions. You will be given a Light and Sound session with your full priced testing fees. Discounts are given for prepaying your entire program as a package.

  It is always best if an oppositional child is on appropriately prescribed medication before trying these programs. We can wean them as they learn the skills needed to be successful. A child’s interest and desire to better their skills is imperative for their success.

What is Cognitive training? 

Cognitive training consists of a variety of exercises designed to help improve functioning in areas such as sustaining attention, memory, thinking before acting, visual and auditory processing, listening and reading. The principle behind cognitive training is to help improve the "core" abilities and self-control necessary before an individual can function successfully academically. The exercises "drill for skill" directly in the areas the areas where specific cognitive difficulties occur.

Since this approach requires repetition and one to one instruction, the computer is the easiest and most cost effective way to implement this type of program. The computer also provides the option of game like structure to motivate clients to complete the training. Cognitive training is awesome for the inattentive student.

It is suggested that a client spend 2-3 hours a week in cognitive training. Software can be purchased and used at home or you may pay usage fees at the Center.

Neurofeedback requires around forty hours on the unit. Individual coaching time does not count for on the unit time. Two to three sessions per week are minimum. The slower you are pacing the slower you will see results.

Neurofeedback is widely known for its success for attention building skills. It does require a one on one coach. Therefore, it is our most expensive treatment. However, it is also our best program for building skills essential for success in school and life. We are talking about training the brain they/you will be depending on for the rest of their/your life.
