Guidelines For Listening
Condensed Schedule-Two sessions back to back-Adolescence & adults
Base-Two 15 minute sessions but more than 30 minutes apart Age 8 & up
Extended-One session per day-age 7 and under
Those with sound sensitivities follow special directions below

Unique Patent Pending Design

The modular design of each sixty-minute TLP CD includes 4 fifteen-minute segments.
There are 3 five-minute tracks per segment. The first track of a segment is labeled "A", the second track is labeled "B", and the third track is labeled "C".

The A track supports listeners as they gradually adjust to the experience of filtered sound and prepares them to be receptive to the B track, which presents the greatest intensity of filtered sound with audio bursting. The C track helps organize the experience and return listeners to their natural listening environment.

A Preparatory schedule may be suggested for sound sensitivities.
Great care has been taken to produce the most technologically advanced prelude program or a Sensory Integration CD for those sensitive to headsets. However if you opt to try to start with the basic program; The following suggestions may be helpful.

For less severe sound sensitivities: the most intense section is the "B" section. It can be dropped from the training schedule until it is tolerated. CD# 1&2 have the lowest frequencies and 5&6 have the highest frequencies.

For severe sound sensitivity: a preparatory goal would be to tolerate a full session, but the process to get to that point will be determined by that individual. Your child's inability to process or react as others would to music and sound is a neurological dysfunction not a choice. So be as supportive as you can be even if the gains are slow. Start with as little as one minute of the first  segment and build to the full segment, then add in section C before attempting the "B" section.

For sensitivity to the pressure or weight of headset- Start with A Sound Health CD, The SI Extension CD, or the Prelude for speakers to start with the use of a regular headset; slowly building to the time of the fifteen minute session. Then start using the Recommended Headset for TLP for as long as the tolerance lasts and build to the fifteen minute goal.

Document the time each day, celebrate even the one second gains.
